For my birthday, my lovely parents added to my slowly growing collection of YSL lip products. This little beauty is one of the Rouge Volupte Shines which also happens to be my favourite formulation, as they're slightly sheer and very glossy.
It applies beautifully, just like every other YSL lip product that i own and it's a buildable formula so can be worn as a wash of colour or built up to be a more bright shade like the one i'm wearing above. As you can see, Rose in Tension is a beautiful, true pink shade that's not too bright and not too dark but the perfect rose colour. It's beautifully glossy and glides on in application, i actually have fairly pigmented lips and this is a sort of my lips but better colour that bloggers always talk about. Sometimes the Volupte Shines can get a bad wrap because they're very glossy, but honestly they're the perfect lip product for someone like me who doesn't really go for mattes, hates stains and likes to reapply. They do last a few hours, as long as there's no eating or drinking, but reapplying for me isn't a problem.
There's not really much else to tell you other than i love this colour, and actually it's a really wearable shade. It goes with everything and i think it would suit all types of skintone from very pale to darker skinned. If you're looking to dip your toe into the Volupte Shines, i highly recommend giving this one a try.
