Oranges & Lemons

I believe this light & bright number is debuting on Legs Eleven, i picked it up a couple of weeks ago when i went shopping in Cambridge, with my lovely friend Hayley. As we are both loyal Primark customers, it was obvious that would be our first stop & this caught my eye within seconds!

Topshop Tall Black Jeans / H&M Black Strappy Top / Primark Lemons Top / Claire's Acorn Necklace

It's beautifully floaty and summery, which i love, and it's also made of the most gorgeous silky fabric - as for the colour, it makes any summer outfit pop! Primark are producing some lovely bits & bobs at the moment, i recommend you get to your nearest pronto to get some summer bargains!

The 4th Day

Day 4 in the Big Brother House...

Next Tall Leggings / H&M Black Strappy Top / Dorothy Perkins Peter Pan Collar Top / Necklace Via My Grandmother

Yes, it's that top again! I am literally in love with this top, it ceases to amaze me at how versatile it is - i can literally wear it with everything! I luckily have it in another pattern so once this 20 days is over, i can see how many thousands of other ways i can style them! I have to say that is one great thing about this 20 days, i'm forced to try things in lots of different ways & i'm now looking forward to being a little more daring with some other pieces! At the moment, the beginnings of my week are spent at home trying to franticly finish of my final major project for Friday, but come Friday & next week i'll be a little more out and about, so i can try out some of my pieces that are a little bit too nice for lounging at home!

I'm sorry that my posts are a little lacking in excitement at the moment, i am just in such a flap trying to get my entire project finished for Friday so i can have the beautiful relief of knowing that i can spend the next week just getting my space ready to present my work, 2 weeks today! After that, i'm free as a bird for half term & then after the 6th - I really am free! So, you've got lots of excitement to look forward to, i assure you!

All you wonderful blogging ladies & your beautiful make up, nail art especially, is really making me want to dip my toe into the sea of make up! I'm helping my mother shop on Saturday, and i'd really like to get myself some make up to test out - i'm not a big make up wearer but you guys are really making me want to try some new bits & bobs out! The wonderful Lucy has just uploaded a brilliant review of Topshop make up, which you all know i was dying for! She also has a fab blog so you should definitely pay her a visit!

I'd like to take this little moment to also say Hello to all new followers! It really does mean so much to me that you guys want to take the time to read and follow my blog. Every one of you counts, and as soon as i get to a significant figure, i'll do a giveaway to show my appreciation!

Monday Again

New Look Colour Block Top / New Look Vintage Shorts / Next Leopard Leather Belt / (Rubbish) Tesco Opaque Tights / Claire's Pocket Watch Necklace

Only day three and i'm already feeling the pinch! It's hard not being able to wear what i feel like, however it is interesting to pull something out of the bag - it's keeping me on my toes (if not making getting ready in the morning, some how, longer!) This little number has appeared on my blog before, i believe, but there's just something about the pink, white & blue denim that i really like. I don't often wear such soft colours, and pinks & oranges are only just coming into my colour palette so i think the trying something different draws me in.

So, yesterday i was asking your advice on Topshop make up, and also on E.L.F. Today i was browsing their website in a little more detail, looking at colours, etc, and the difference between the Topshop lippy & the E.L.F stick is the colour style - Topshop tends to be matte, whereas the E.L.F appears to have a glisten and a shimmer, which i think i quite like. I'm considering trying out the E.L.F products first, but i'm still interested in the Topshop mascara as if you're a regular you'll know i'm on the perfect mascara quest - at the moment i'm settling for Rimmel's Volume Flash and although it's pretty good, it doesn't do my already thin lashes any favours, unless applied vigorously, however the colour and curl is pretty good. So, come on you lovely blogging ladies - give me your advice, i'm getting desperate for it!

PS. These tights really are rubbish, i wore them for the first time today and they're already in the bin!

Sunday (Friday) Feeling #15

001. This is a very belated Friday Feeling, this week, but i was so busy embarking on my 30 for 20 that i totally forgot about it! As it's Sunday, i'm not doing a 30for post today as Sundays are not counted in my 20 days! Pretty much due to the fact i spend my day in a lime green polyester blouse and black trousers for work. I'm enjoying the experience so far, but i'm still enjoying filling my time with online window shopping!

002. I am considering investing in some Topshop make up. You beautiful blogging ladies seem to love it, but i've always been a bit skeptical of this sort of thing - a brand who are very good at one thing, trying to do something else and failing miserably. Plus, i am a seriously devoted Rimmel customer, and i just don't know if anything could beat them!
These are the 3 items i am considering: Mascara in Raven, Nails in Green Room & Lips in Show Off. Does anyone have any experience with this products? I'm quite interested in giving them a go, as the colour looks intense, i'm also interested in Nails in Delusion & Lips in Rio Rio. The Show Off lippy is such a good shade though! I've been looking for a lipstick to try in a while, but i'm never sure what really suits me. I want something that's not too heavy and that i can wearing during the day, sometimes, as well as at night. I've also heard a lot about E.L.F, i browsed their website and their amazingly affordable prices really suck me in, however, i'm unsure of their lipstick shades. Any of your lovely advice would be appreciated!

003. I am just focusing on getting my project, or final piece at least, finished for Friday. I literally can't wait to get it done, it'll be a huge relief and i can't wait to start my long summer. I'm getting very stressed now, and i'm looking forward to the calm and relief after the storm. At the moment, the light at the end of the tunnel is looking a little far away, as things aren't totally going to plan, so keep your fingers, toes, eyes crossed for me!

A Little Chilly

I have spent today working my little fingers to the bone! So my outfit today was definitely geared for comfort:

Next Tall Leggings / H&M Leopard Top / H&M Black Strappy Top / Claire's Gold Ball Necklace

Sadly, the weather wasn't as beautiful as it has been for the past month, so the few cardigans i chose for my 30 for 20 didn't quite cover my shivers! So i had to add this crop jumper on top, just to keep me snuggly!

H&M Orange Crop Jumper

Today, i have been SO productive! One pair of lace shorts: Check! I have successfully made some lace shorts for my FMP, and i am now embarking onto my blazer - and i'm doing pretty well! It's definitely looking like a jacket, which is a HUGE relief, and the fabric is perfect - black lace and a gorgeous aubergine satin (both from John Lewis, if you're interested!) On Friday, at college, we're performing a photoshoot with full lighting, make up, backgrounds and get up, so i am desperately trying to finish my jacket before then as i want to feature the images i take in the presentation of my final FMP. My gorgeous friend Alex is modelling for me and i'm very excited to make her up! We're planning two sets of images, as the theme of my project was masculine ad feminine, one set will be trying to manage her lovely long hair into a top knot of some kind, dark lippy, geeky glasses to adorn her face and generally try and make a girl look masculine (or as much as we can!). The next set will be vamping it up with plenty of mascara, long flowing tresses and a bit of bra on show! It's going to be very fashion and i'm very excited to embark on it!

I'll be sure to show you all the fruits of my labours as soon as i get photographic evidence! xo
