Essie Luxe Effects Glitter Polish in Hors d'oeuvres | Essie Luxe Effects Glitter Polish in Jazzy Jubilant
The two i chose were Hors d'oeuvres and Jazzy Jubilant. These were the two i could see myself wearing most often, and they would go with many of the polishes i already own.
Hors d'oeuvres is a gold and silver glitter, and it's almost a polish in itself rather than being a topcoat. If you applied two or three coats of this then you could easily make it opaque, however i chose to wear mine over another colour. This shade is packed with tiny particles of gold glitter that makes up the base, with almost an iridescence to it, and lots of larger, silver, hexagonal pieces suspended within that. It looks absolutely beautiful as an accent nail and really adds to either neutral shades or brights.
Jazzy Jubilant is a mix of medium silver, purple and teal hexagonal pieces and smaller, round, red pieces of glitter suspended in a clear base. This is a beautiful top coat, that looks most lovely over more neutral bases or matching with the colours of the glitter. It applies so easily and doesn't brush off, meaning you don't end up layering too much on and then it takes forever to dry.
Like the usual Essie range, they dry super quick and look beautiful paired with a range of colours. The rest of the collection weren't quite for me, as they're colours that i don't tend to wear but the quality is amazing and i'd definitely like to buy more of their glitters in the future.
